About us
Video To Frames is a small, independent project. We build fast, easy-to-use, private tools that turn video into pictures and sound, entirely in your browser.
Security first. Your video never leaves your browser. We never receive it.
Our mission
A video to frames converter should not ask you to upload the file. Video To Frames Converter reads the video on your device, decodes it there with your browser, and writes the frames back to your device. There is no upload step, because a server is never in the path. That is the idea the whole site is built on: the work happens where the file already is.
Fast matters. No account and no watermark. You can download the frames, and you can also share them in one tap straight to a friend in another app. Most converters stop at a download. Privacy is not a setting you turn on. It is how the tools are made.
What we make
The main tool, Video To Frames Converter, turns any video into still images: by time interval, fixed count, frame rate, every frame, keyframes only or scene changes, plus a single-frame mode that picks the sharpest frame near the moment you choose. Around it are four companion tools for the jobs that usually come next: Video to GIF, Video to MP3, HEIC to JPG and WebP to PNG. Each of them runs in the browser the same way. Your files are not sent to us.
How we build
- Security first. The file stays on your device. That isn't a line in a policy we hope you'll trust. It is the architecture, and you can see how it works and check it in your own browser.
- Do one thing very well. We'd rather have a careful frame extractor than a long list of thin tools.
- Honest numbers. Frame counts, size estimates and examples on this site are calculated by the same code the tools use. Browser support is published only after testing on real devices.
- Share, not only download. One tap sends the frames into an app you already use to message someone. The pictures go from your browser to that app. They are not uploaded to us first. Most converters only hand you a file to save.
- Plain to use. No account, no watermark, and no clutter inside the tool. The site is funded by advertising, which never appears inside a tool or its results.
How you can check
You don't have to take our word for it. While a video is open, watch your browser's network panel: the file is not posted to us. We don't receive the video, the frames, or the file name. The how it works page names the pieces involved, and browser support lists what has actually been tested. Guides elsewhere on the site are dated with the last time they were reviewed.
Who's behind it
Video To Frames is run by a small independent team that also builds other browser-based utilities. We write and maintain the guides ourselves, and each one shows when it was last reviewed. There is no separate content mill and no uploaded-file pipeline behind the tools.
